Fighter Pilot’s Ejections Seconds Before Disasters

Some of those are at low altitude and don’t appear to be zero ejector seats. I can’t imagine the injuries

they sustained. Often ejection will fracture vertebrae (which bloody hurts let me tell you, and not just for the time it’s broken, it hurts for ages afterwards – possibly career ending in the case of a fighter pilot) and those impacts with only a second of a fully deployed parachute don’t bear thinking about.
