Laxmi Pariyar Morder Case

The Joint Students’ Union today marched across the Shantibatika, Ratnapark, demanding action against those involved in the killings of Laxmi Pariyar of Kavre and Kanchan Bhujel of Nuwakot.

 Girl students associated with the 13 students’ unions including the Nepal Students’ Union (NSU) and All Nepal National Free Students’ Union (ANNFSU) gathered at the Bagabazar-based Padma Kanya Campus to protest over the murders before taking out a rally. On the occasion, Alliance President Nabina Lama said the gender-based discrimination against women has prompted violence against them. She demanded stern action against the killers of Pariyar and Bhujel. The Alliance plans to submit a memorandum to Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi, drawing his attention towards probing the incidents and bring those found guilty
