Lok Man Singh’s Press Conference’s turned violent

Suspended Chief of Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Lokman Singh Karki has remarked that the impeachment motion tabled against him at the Parliament has left him surprised though he had not done anything against the interest of the country.

In an appeal to public posted on his personal website on Thursday, Karki claimed that the accusations against him were biased, unrealistic and illusive and it was designed and influenced by a group of people under CIAA investigation or those in the process being investigated.

The statement comes at a time when Karki faces a case challenging his qualification for holding the CIAA helm and an impeachment motion registered against him at Parliament.

The Supreme Court has been conducting hearings on a petition challenging Karki’s qualification for holding the post of CIAA chief. He appeared before the SC on Thursday to record his statement in the case.
