Speaking at a training programme organised by his party in Surkhet of mid-western Nepal, the CPN Maoist Centre Chairman said, “Attempts are underway to make issues of changes including federalism, republicanism, secularism and inclusive values upside down after the Maoist movement was made somehow weak.”
“The bourgeoisie and reactionary forces have not accepted the change,” he said, “Some leaders of the ppositionon think that the monarchy and the 1990 Constitution was better.”
“The Maoist movement would lose its value if the republicanism and the federalism were subverted,” he said, “Therefore, the unity of Maoist parties in a must to save the issues of change.”
Meanwhile, Dahal reiterated that the Constitution amendment proposal registered by the government at House was meant to strengthen the national unity; and the government would not withdraw it.
